Twenty-six students from the Washington County Career Center Business Professionals of America (BPA) youth organization competed and placed in the top four of the BPA Regional Competition. These students won the honor of advancing to the State competitive events, in Columbus, which will be held March 9-10. From this event, those students who place in the top of their category will move on to the National level, which will be held in May in Anaheim, CA.

Those students who will be competing at the State level are:

¯ Advanced Desktop Publishing: Taylor Bowers is a senior from Warren in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Ben Bowers of Burlington, NC, and Mindy Bowers of Vincent. Trevor Fields is a senior from Fort Frye in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Myranda Wilson of Beverly.

¯ Advanced Word Processing: Lyndsay Burwell is a senior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Matthew Burwell and Stacie Miller of Marietta.

¯ Computer Animation Team: Jocelyn Duff is a junior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program and she is the granddaughter of Tony Seevers and Patricia Louive of Marietta. Hannah Keller is a junior from Fort Frye in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Richard and Megan Keller of Beverly.

¯ Computer Modeling: Elias Amash is a junior from Marietta in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Roland Amash of Lowell and Christina Amash of Williamstown, WV.

¯ Computer Security: Mark Landis is a junior from Belpre in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Rebecca Neal of Belpre.

Adam Stone is a junior from Belpre in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Delores Stone of Belpre.

¯ Database Applications: Jenna Saling is a senior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Louis and Toni Saling of Marietta and the granddaughter of Claudia Saling of Barlow. Hadassah Williams is a senior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Michael and Amy Williams of Marietta.

¯ Digital Media Production: Samuel Casto is a senior from Fort Frye in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Michael and Kelly Casto of Lower Salem.

¯ Extemporaneous Speech: Michael Templeton is a senior from Warren in the Digital Marketing program and he is the son of Michael and Rebecca Templeton of Vincent.

¯ Fundamental Desktop Publishing: Dylan Barth is a junior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program and he is the son of Craig and Melissa Barth of Lowell.

¯ Fundamental Spreadsheet Application: Grace Benson is a senior from Belpre in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of David and Mari Benson of Belpre and the granddaughter of Frances Noland of Belpre.

¯ Fundamentals of Web Design: Jonathan Clark is a senior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program and he is the son of Ernest and Karen Clark of Marietta.

¯ Graphic Design Promotion: Lyanna Smith is a senior from Marietta in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and she is the daughter of Brad and LeeAndra Smith of Marietta.

¯ Intermediate Word Processing: Elliot Cockerham is a junior from Belpre in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Alisha Goudy of Belpre. Haylee Jones is a junior from Warren in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Miranda Bartmess of Cutler.

¯ Interview Skills: Kelly Prim is a senior from Warren in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and she is the daughter of Gary Prim of Parkersburg and Heather McIntire of Marietta and the granddaughter of Erwin and Debra Prim of Marietta.

¯ Prepared Speech: Haddon Lockyer is a junior from Marietta in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Todd and Amanda Lockyer of Marietta.

¯ Presentation Individual: Jaiden Acker is a junior from Warren in the Digital Marketing program and he is the son of Steven and Bethany Acker of Vincent.
