Paramount Pictures is re-releasing a remastered version of James Cameron’s “Titanic” in theaters on February 10th – just in time for Valentine’s Day a few days later.
Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the original, which opened in December 1997, the re-release is set to sport a 3D 4K high-dynamic range (HDR) and high-frame-rate (HFR) transfer of the film.
The original helped turn Leonardo DiCaprio into one of the biggest stars on the planet and was a massive breakout work for Kate Winslet. It won eleven Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director, and held the record of the highest-grossing film of all time for years – until Cameron overtook it with “Avatar” in 2009.
